LIVE in a Christian Community

Online Webster’s dictionary says Community is a unified body of individuals; people with common interests living in a particular area. Webster’s defines a Christian as a person who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

At Saint Paul Methodist Church of Lumpkin County we LIVE in CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY. To us that means we are a unified body of individuals in this geographic area whose common bond is the Love of Jesus Christ. Some people might find that awkward, some might doubt that can happen and some have been hurt from poor examples of CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY.

When we say Saint Paul is a church where you can LIVE in CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY that means a body of believers who surround each other with LOVE, PRAYER, ACCEPANCE and ENCOURAGEMENT. In the Book of Romans Paul says this:

Romans 3:23-24
Common English Bible (CEB)
23 All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, 24 but all are treated as righteous freely by his grace because of a ransom that was paid by Christ Jesus.

We have all missed the mark because of sin. But thanks to Jesus and his Grace we are treated as righteous. That does not mean that we are perfect. We just believe that Together we can LIVE in CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY so we can LEARN more about JESUS, and LOVE others as CHRIST Loves!

Our COMMUNITY does not stop at the doors of the church or the end of the parking lot. COMMUNITY means helping our Neighbors and Friends in need to show them the love of Christ. You can find more information on how we do that on the LOVE page!

Really, there is a place for you here at Saint Paul. Maybe what you need is a CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY where YOU can LIVE!
